Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to work carried out by DJC-TECH Plumbing & Heating, a business operated by Ilie Postu as a self-employed sole trader, serving Northampton and up to 20 miles around.

Quotations

Quotations are free and given in writing. A quotation is based on the information and access available at the time and remains valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. If hidden defects, non-compliant existing installations or additional work are discovered once work begins, we will stop, explain the position and agree any variation with you in writing before continuing.

Carrying out the work

• All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer (No. 642378).
• You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, water and electricity supplies, and parking where possible.
• We will protect work areas and remove our waste, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or decorative making-good unless expressly quoted.
• Where you supply your own materials or appliances, we cannot warrant those goods, only our workmanship in fitting them.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. Larger installations may require a materials deposit, which will be stated on the quotation. Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

Cancellation

Where you engage us as a consumer away from our business premises, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel. If you ask us to begin work within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already carried out and for non-returnable materials already purchased. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to move an appointment.

Guarantee and liability

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Manufacturer warranties on boilers, appliances and fittings are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms, including any servicing requirements. We hold Public Liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Our liability is otherwise limited to the value of the work carried out.

If something is not right, contact us as soon as possible on 07344993747 or at postu.ilie3478@gmail.com and we will arrange to inspect and put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
